I had been seeing Dr. Foo regularly for my dental care for years, but over time, I found aspects of her care left MUCH to be desired. First of all, I referred a dear friend to her. After not returning numerous phone calls, she finally spoke to my friend on the phone. When my friend--who was paying out of pocket--simply inquired as to what Dr. Foo's fee was, Dr. Foo copped an attitude. My friend said Dr. Foo made her feel so ashamed and so deeply upset by the tone of their interaction that she canceled the appointment!

This was the first of a number of negative experiences with Dr. Foo that culminated with my decision to stop seeing her after 5-plus years of regular visits. While I initially found her entertaining (although a little "odd") I eventually came to the conclusion that Dr. Foo does not care about her patients as individuals but just as dollar signs. I was a full-paying customer for her above-average fees, and am disappointed that her service did not meet my expectations for professionalism. Many of our reactions were tinged with a tone of negativity--dare I say, downright nastiness--just under the surface. FYI, I weighed the decision to stop seeing her very carefully.

I like to build relationships with health care providers, and would not stop seeing someone but for sub-par, unprofessional service, which is what I feel I received from Helen Foo's dental practice. Please decide from yourself. I hope you have a more positive experience than I did, but I feel confident in what I am stating because my friend had such a negative experience with this same dentist.
