Dr. Carol Lockwood, a dental professional for over 35 years, started her practice of general dentistry in 1992 in Deerfield immediately after graduating first in her class in clinical skills from Northwestern University.After practicing dental hygiene for more than 15 years previously, she realized the dream of her lifetime by graduating from dental school at age 41 and finally becoming "the Dr."Upon graduation she won the prestigious awards from both the American Prosthodontic Society and the American Association of Women Dentists for clinical excellence and leadership. She was accepted to the UCLA School of Prosthodontics for a post-graduate degree but chose instead to start a family practice in Deerfield.
