My son(age 10) has been going here for the past 3 plus years. Every time I have tried to voice my opinion or concern about the steps they have taken to fix my sons overly crowded teeth, I felt like they didn't care nor listen to me. I KNEW he needed braces but they kept delaying a referral to an ortho. In the mean time Star Dental (Dr. Hayhurst..or however that is spelled) didn't do much to prepare for what I knew was the inevitable. FINALLY when they came to the conclusion that he did need braces(surprise surprise!) he referred us to his "golf buddy" Ortho in Eagle. Well they never answered their phone so I was unable to set up an appoint there. Instead we went to Dr. Payne in Meridian(LOVE HIM!) Dr. Payne, the Orthodontist sent over(to star dental) an order to extract TWO teeth. When we went in Dr. Hayhurst only pulled one! I TOLD him, and pointed out the other VERY obvious tooth that was also to be pulled and he said, "I only do what the paper says..and it doesn't make sense but that's what I'm told to do." uh, REALLY?! He SHOULD have stopped and CALLED the Orthodontist to make SURE he was doing the right thing!! long story short, I was right...we went back in same day and he refused to admit he was wrong and would NOT pull the other tooth that day. My son SHOULD have been able to get his braces Monday but now he cant. It was 1pm in the afternoon, (30 mins since the 1st tooth was pulled) but now Dr. Hayhurst had his golf clothes on...guess he couldn't correct HIS mistake and miss his Golf Tee time. What a joke of a dentist office.
