Don't take your children to this dump. The receptionist is rude! I called to make a appt for my daughter and this women tried telling me she couldn't find my daughters name in the computer which is lie because she has been seen at that office before. She wouldn't get off that chair and look at the paper records and then basically called me a lair, then hung up the phone. Real classy huh? They need to find someone who will actually do their JOB!

My first daughter was one of the first patients there at The Childrens Dental Center, probably about 10 years ago. I now have 3 kids and wanted to continue to use this dentist. But recently I think he has way too many patients. My kids would get into their bi-yearly check ups but if they were to have a cavity he could not possibly get them in for 6 months to fill them. This is way too long a time. Also the last couple of times I have had to wait over an hour to get in for appt. Last May my children had a check up and I was told my 14 year old had a couple cavities he wanted to watch. And check on and possibly fill a couple months later. I got off of work 1/2 day to take her in and we waited for 45 mins before receptionist told me that there was an emergency a kid knocked his teeth out. I was not complaining but one mother walked out mad and I was looking like "what" and she then told me "he had an emergency would you like to reschedule" I said "No, that's ok, I just need to leave by 5:00 to get my little one from daycare." Then when she did get in finally they called me back and told me that it would need to be filled and I would have to come back another time. Fine,I was like "ok, I must have misunderstood, I thought they were filling it that day" SO when I went to make an appt, they told me they didn't have anything until the end of December!! I told them(very nicely by the way, considering the cercomstances) I didn't want to wait that long and so I said I would probably go somewhere else(not mad just wanted to maybe anyway since my 14 year old said to me before the appt that she wanted to go somewhere else cause she felt she was the oldest patient in there) So I said I would call back to probably change her records over to my dentist. I then called my dentist and they got her in in 4 days. Now I still had 2 other children that had an appt for Oct 28 at 9:00 a.m. and was going to continue taking them there.. becuase I felt it was a better atmophere for children. I then called on Monday the 26 to reschedule my appt because my daughter was sick with the flu and I would be doing everyone a favor by rescheduling even though she is over her fever. I was then told by the receptionist that I did not have an appt, and put me on hold without hearing me out when I was saying that it could be they made a mistake by cancelling my 14 year olds maybe they cancelled alll of them. She then got back on the line and told me that after reviewing my file it stated that "Dr Todd had written in there that he suggested that my family go elsewhere for dental treatment" Because I was supposidly upset that I had to wait that long and had another time I had to wait a long time as well. Of course I was annoyed, did I show it "no" did I mention to the receptionist that it was a little ridiculous that she would have to wait almost 6 months for a filling.. yes. But I wasn't mad, she wanted to change dentists anyway. I just cannot believe he treats patients this way. I feel like I am the patient, I do not work for him.. but he works for his patients. He doesn't care about patients if he has too many and not enough time to treat all with respect for their time because we have jobs we have to take off and places we need to be as well. I also asked for him to call me about this situation to try and see if there was a misunderstanding and he would not call me back, but had his receptionist tell me basically he would not treat my kids. Of course you are going to upset some people sometimes, you apologize and not make them feel it is their fault. Also I would have liked to receive a letter stating I was no longer welcome. If I would not have called to reschedule I would have taken my one kid out of school and went 25 miles out of my way, got there for them to tell me I am no longer welcome. I am just appauled and shocked because I don't feel like I acted in anyway inappropriate that day and think I handled it better than most people.
