I visited Dr Craig's office for a simple outpatient procedure. A torn meniscus had bothered me off & on for years, but it was nothing I had ever visited a doctor for. Didn't hurt that much. Became unemployed, still had insurance, decided to get it fixed. Agreed to outpatient procedure to repair torn meniscus. Upon awakening from the procedure, I was told I had level 4 arthritis in both knees, needed total knee replacement for both knees & a hole had been drilled in my right kneecap (to provide me a little more time before getting a total knee replacement). I went home with a swollen knee, lots of pain & in shock.

I went in to fix occasional knee pain. I came out nearly crippled. I left Kansas shortly after this, without health insuranece, but not without my medical records from Dr Craig. They stated I complained of years of arthritic pain in BOTH knees on my first visit, the procedure was done to "buy me time before my total knee replacement of both knees."

One year later, another orthopaedic doctor told me my right knee was fine. I've NEVER had any pain in my right knee. He asked why Dr Craig had drilled a hole in my kneecap. QUOTE That Procedure Never Works On People Your Age UNQUOTE (I was 52 at that time) Now four years later, I am in constant pain, in my right knee. I thank God he didn't touch my left knee, it still remains pain free. My right knee is always swollen. I cant shop. I can barely walk. I can't stand. I had to give my dog away, because I COULDN'T WALK HER ANYMORE. This doctor severely altered my entire life after leaving Kansas 4 years ago.

My recommendation: Get a copy of your medical records EVERYTIME YOU VISIT THIS OFFICE. You never know what they write in your records to appease the insurance companies requirements. My right knee may have had damage which had not materialized...yet...but Dr Craig accelerated...or caused...my handi-cap.
