Appoinment Review: My family and I recently relocated to Marianna and in an attempt to maintain continuity of dental care for my son, I contacted Dr. Saunders office on 10/2/2014 to establish a new patient appointment for him. I asked an individual who identified as Trina, if they were accepting new patients and she responded, "Yes, we have a few slots opened". Gave her my insurance information and after giving her the age of 17, she stated that they did not accept teenagers. However, Trina was still adamant that they did not accept teenagers after I informed her that I was referred to them by my insurance carrier, that this office was an approved vendor and that on Dr. Ben Saunders homepage there is an advertisement indicating the following:
" Dental care for infants, children, teens and patients with special needs." Apparently, there is a huge discrepancy between policy and actually obtaining appointments, which in my opinion, contradicts professional integrity and ethics.
