My mother and I took my Grandmother to her first appointment with him since getting released from Healthsouth rehab center after having a major hernia repair. We got there and the lady at the front desk didn't even acknowledge us. We were literally standing right there at her window for at least 3 or more minutes and she still said nothing so we said screw it and went to sit down because my grandmother can barely walk and is in a lot of pain. so they took out all the paperwork for us to fill out. Then we got called back in by the nurse and she weighed her, took her blood pressure and when we explained to her that it had been running a little low so we would like to know what it is now she sort of rolled her eyes and sighed and finally said what the reading was. Also my Grandfather got a phone call from the Doctors office earlier that morning telling him to make sure she brings all of her medications not just a list but the actual bottles and so we did, we put them in a bag neatly and brought them to the appointment. When we presented these to the nurse she literally rolled her eyes and said "well I really do prefer a paper list it really makes it much easier on me than having to sift through all of these bottles." There were maybe 6 bottles in there so it's not that very difficult in my mind. We did actually have a list but after that comment I went ahead and let her trudge on with the bottles lol. So a little later my grandmother was very very uncomfortable sitting straight up in the exam table so I asked if the back could be raised and I tried to do it myself but I was on the wrong side so she once again huffed and puffed and quickly got up as if she was annoyed and ran over there and yanked it up forcefully without telling grandma what she was doing first. So she got back to the computer inputing the medications into the computer and the bag of meds fell on the floor......I ran over to pick them up for her and she looked at me and said "ummmm I could have gotten that" in the worst attitude you could imagine. They had us waiting in the examination room for close to an hour and not one person popped in to let us know that he had been called out for an emergency or anything. WE had to ask and even then they didn't give us any indication of if he was back now, or could they give us a time frame because we did have other things to do and places to be. They didn't seem to know anything so we just said screw it and went out to reschedule the appointment. But with this experience my grandmother is ready to switch Doctors. Also she had a massive hernia that became incarcerated and Dr. Rusche told her well as long as it isn't bothering you we won't do anything about it. She could have had this done over ten years when it would have been much much easier for her to recover from it but instead she is recovering from a major abdominal surgery in her eighties with her body riddled with arthiritis. Just a bad deal all the way around if you ask me

I've never seen anyone who is more respected by their staff. The entire staff only had great things to say about working there, and it made me want to return all the more. They were one of the kindest, most caring staff I've ever dealt with. It didn't matter how many times I called with a question or concern, they were always happy to help me. I was very impressed with their advanced and sophisticated equipment. You can tell they only want the best for their patients. They always have an immediate answer for me when I call with a question. They would never try to get me to make an appointment unless I really needed one.
