I've only seen Dr. Slater,and he's an excellent, very skilled dentist - I am always pleased with his work. He has great attention to detail and ensures I am comfortable and pain-free during procedures.
The hygienists are also skilled and personable.
Office staff comes and goes, Sometimes they are friendly, courteous, and helpful,but I have had unpleasant experiences in the past.
My issue comes with the business practice. They will always recommend the most expensive procedure. The "upsell" has been an ongoing problem, and I have been a patient there for years.My last visit included spending an hour in the office for what I was led to believe was an "emergency" visit to repair a tooth with a lost filling. What actually happened was I spent an hour in the office and left with a quote for a treatment plan that included a much more expensive crown instead of the filling replacement I was expecting. The consultant I dealt with was completely unconcerned with my having to leave without my tooth being treated. Needless to say, I'm am now looking for a new dentist.

I visited Midtown Dental several years ago to have a cavity filled. I'd already had a horrible experience there with Dr. Vito (who filled the cavity), but I had to return for more work because I ended up needing to have a root canal on that tooth (why they couldn't have told me that in the first place, I'm not sure). When I came back to Midtown after having the root canal done elsewhere, Dr. Nerestant was my new dentist. I breathed a sigh of relief after having had such a horrible experience with Dr. Vito, but Nerestant was not much better. The procedure I went through in order to be fitted for a crown was a nightmare - beginning with Dr. Nerestant not even warning me that I was about to get an injection in the roof of my mouth; he just jabbed it in there. I was never numbed enough. Between him and his dental assistant poking and prodding in my raw gums, I was left to tough it out. I felt like I was Dustin Hoffman in "Marathon Man," being tortured. A couple of days later, there was an area of my gum that appeared infected - I looked closer, and there was the end of a black string poking out. They'd left about an inch of black string up in my gum (which was the string that was soaked in some bitter-tasting solution which they packed in to stop the bleeding). Believe me I will NEVER go there again. I now go to Dr. Ronald James, and he's awesome.

Definitely! I saw it as soon as I walked in!

Never, they are very reliable.

Never! I don't think I've ever been put on hold here for a long time
