I immediately felt comfortable and secure in Dr. Wagaman's care. The equipment was safe and well taken care of and to my knowledge, was the most current and accurate available. They routinely called me with my test results quickly, which I appreciated, as I was "AMA" (advanced maternal age), and was always quite relieved when tests confirmed that all was well. I was happy with their promptness. They've never dismissed any of my concerns as unimportant, and took every concern of mine very seriously. They have a very good professional reputation. As I got to know the other OBGyns, I quickly became comfortable with them, and I knew that regardless of the doctor I saw that particular day, I knew I was under the care of an expert. I recently referred an associate whose daughter is having unexplained pain and obstetric complications which none of her care providers have taken seriously. They dismiss her returns, tell her they can't find anything, and when she calls back, they tell her they'll "try to get her in next week..." I know her symptoms and situation will be taken very seriously at Hibiscus, and that Dr. Wagaman will help her and her daughter get right in.

After taking a home pregnancy test (positive), I scheduled a confirmation visit with Dr. Wagaman. They spent the first half of the visit preparing me for birth control pills only to then realize that I was there for a prenatal visit. They, including the doctor, then scrambled around trying to get to what they were supposed to be doing. I left the appointment worried that something might have been missed. This office is very disorganized. The staff never knew what was going on, were constantly going back and forth with each other trying to figure out what was supposed to be happening. And I, the patient, had to do all the clarifying. Went back for an ultrasound, and again experienced a disorganized office with disoriented staff. The pregnancy ended with a medically-managed miscarriage. The prescription for misoprostol was written incorrectly and filled by the pharmacy the way Dr. Wagaman had written it. She also told me there was no need for a follow-up visit because she said I "would know" if the miscarriage was incomplete. 5 weeks later I was still spotting and reluctantly made an appointment for recheck. My appointment was for 2:30 and I didn't see the doctor until 4:30. She was visibly frazzled and harried, trying to catch up with all these patients she was late for, cutting off my sentences when I was explaining my symptoms. I left with no confidence in this person. I ended up needing a D&C. She scheduled the surgery for the wrong date (2 weeks later than we had discussed), and when speaking with billing, I had to correct the mistake myself. When I arrived at the surgery facility, they were flustered because Dr. Wagaman had not sent my bloodwork to the surgical center. I had to have blood re-drawn. When she arrived, she spent several minutes searching through her phone for my bloodwork, saying she probably mispelled my name. Following the surgery, she gave information to my husband and gave additional information to me as I was coming out of anesthesia. I asked if she had given the same information to my husband, and she told me that she did not get that far in their discussion. We left feeling very confused and unclear about the months to come.
