Nutter Dennis Paul Dds

Dr. Nutter is a Pediatric Dentist with a special interest in good, clinical pain practice, pediatric pain assessment and non pharmacological methods of pain intervention. He is on the staff of several local hospitals and when necessary can utilize the hospital setting to treat children under general anesthesia utilizing the services of an anesthesiologist. Since children under seven generally display five times more distress for the same medical procedure than children seven and above, Dr. Nutter prefers to defer treatment when possible to allow the child to mature more pain inhibitory controls whereby they may better tolerate an invasive dental restoration. When possible Dr. Nutter utilizes non invasive methods (mineralizing agents) to retard or stabilize the growth of decay while the child develops more mature pain inhibitory controls. Since younger children are not born with mature pain inhibitory controls (it takes until age 20 to develop a full complement) inhibiting cavities with non invasive mineralizing agents will allow the child to grow older and tolerate procedures better. This technique often avoids general anesthesia as a path of treatment.

They made sure every single question I had was answered, and are always available if I think of any more questions I want answered. Their staff is the most friendly, welcoming staff I've ever dealt with. They are so warm and professional, and make the whole experience that much better. I was so impressed with the progress I was able to make after visiting them. All my questions were answered, and I feel a lot more confident and hopeful about the future. The office was very easy to locate. I didn't have any trouble finding it at all. I will absolutely return. I had an amazing experience, and they were by far the best I've ever seen. They made the extra effort to make sure every question and concern I had was addressed.
