About

David Dybdal, MD

I am a Harvard-trained, solo practitioner psychiatrist in Boston, MA. Here you will find all the information you need to know about me and my practice. As a psychotherapist, I endeavor to provide a space where it is safe for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and actions, such that you may develop the freedom to choose more of what you want in life rather than feeling stuck in old patterns of behavior that no longer serve you well. As a prescribing psychiatrist, when clinically indicated I may prescribe certain medications for the purpose of treating distressing symptoms of such conditions as depression, anxiety, complex grief, and trauma. In this case I will assume a role of professional consultant, giving you as much information as possible about the advantages and disadvantages of using a medication or medications. Together then, we can collaborate as to which if any medication may best suit you. Finally, as a healer, my goal is not only to ameliorate the symptoms of distress and disease but also to engage in such a way as to assist you in attaining growth, satisfaction, fulfillment, and wellness. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. I look forward to the possibility of working with you! David Dybdal, MD, PhD 617-855-5881
