New crown #3 too large. Repeatedly requested it be adjusted causing bite problems with tooth below. Years of unprofessional response refusal to make proper adjustments caused trauma to tooth below and gum to recede. Permanent harm and damaged resulted.

Quite a few people I know go to Dr. Nia and all I hear is that he is one of the best, that he does great work. But I feel like people should know about my experience. Perhaps it was only that one time thing, but you never know. While he was fixing a filling in one of my back teeth, he kept telling me to open my mouth wider - open wider! I did the best I could, but I don't have the biggest mouth. Eventually I was opening my mouth so wide, I felt the side of my mouth would split. At that point he pushed really hard on my teeth and even while numb, it hurt! It took several weeks for that side of my mouth to stop hurting. I figured it was just the result of having the work done. I stopped eating on that side of my mouth and forgot about it.
THREE YEARS LATER - I went to a body mechanic because I was getting weekly migraines. She took a look at my mouth and told me that MY JAW WAS DISLOCATED!!! For 3 years I ate on the right side of my mouth without ever wondering why I did that. I just knew it was uncomfortable to eat on that side. She relocated it - which was extremely painful - and I was finally able to eat out of both sides of my mouth.
Now, I'm sure this is a one time thing - and I'm not one to press charges - damages after all would be pretty small. But who wants to chance it and go to the dentist only to come out with a dislocated jaw?
