A LITTLE BIT MAGIC
I agree with everything docwenz said. So this is in addition to Tim's other good qualities.
Sometimes after a session with him, when he's simply been listening to me complain and bitch and explore an issue, I'll go home feeling just the same. But frequently, the next day,
it becomes far easier for me to be the kind of person I want to be. It's as though he performs a kind of mini-miracle just by listening to me. I know that simply being listened to with compassion can allow a kind of healing but this is more dramatic than that.

Also, I have been obsessing for years about terrible images of animal torture of many, many kinds and these thoughts would just pop up and torture me often. One day I told him about each and every scene that plays out in my mind and cried a lot, too. After that experience, these images ceased to pop into my mind. I can't express how grateful I am for that release. Like I said at the top. He's a little bit magic.

Dr. Myers is the personification of compassion. He has spent hundreds of hours with me, always focused on my issues, which are innumerable. Never an unkind or thoughtless remark. He and I have made a long journey of my self-discovery that included evaluating drug therapies which proved very helpful, despite my aversion to feeling dependent on drugs. I would recommend him to any and all who are willing to work to make changes required to rejoin the human race. But, please, don't bother this man if you cannot let go your own neuroses.
