About

Mitchell Wilson, MD

For 25 years Dr. Mitchell Wilson has worked intensively with people who have a wide range of difficulties--from relationship struggles, to conflicts with ambition and career, as well as more biologically based problems with anxiety and depression. Dr. Wilson's psychiatric training allows the evaluation and treatment of complex cases that often involve several different issues. His psychoanalytic education affords him the knowledge and experience to help people in a compassionate and deeply involved way with these very same problems.

Depending on the issues to be addressed, Dr. Wilson sees people in psychotherapy from once to four times per week. People appreciate his capacity to engage with them about the issues most important to them, and to develop an ever-deepening therapeutic relationship in which you can speak freely about what is on your mind, grapple with what you are most struggling with, and take action in your life based on what you discover in psychotherapy. If medications may be helpful in dealing with particularly difficult symptoms, he can prescribe those as well. Dr. Wilson sees individuals in psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. He also sees couples in marital therapy or relationship counseling.
