I drove from LA to see him based on a stellar recommendation by a friend who worked with him about ten years ago. The first visit went well. I had labs taken and waited for my next appointment by phone after the labs were received. On the day of my phone appointment, he was running late. No biggy. Then we talked and he said he only had a few of the results. Gave me very little information and said he would get back to me about the rest of the results. After two weeks with no feedback I called and the front desk was rude. She said he was not in the office due to a death in the family. OK, I understood that, and waited another month. Finally I wrote with a list of all the unfinished list of lab result and information I was still waiting for. I received no response for a week. Finally the doctor called me and apologized and went over the labs he had, again. There was no new information, I asked about the rest but he said he would have his assistant get back to me and was so sorry about the delay. then I waited for the assistant for another week and still got nothing. I wrote again and no response. I gave up. I was really angry because I spent over a thousand dollars to get there and they didn't have the courtesy to follow up. the only thing I got in the mail was a bottle of probiotics and a bill. Then a month later another bill with the consultation fee. Then another month later another bill with the consultation fee taken off but only with the supplement fee. I paid it thinking they understood why I hadn't paid. Meanwhile I was getting the bills for the lab tests that I never got information on, to the tune of about 500 dollars. As bills came in I got more and more upset. I sent them another note, the front desk email and again there was no answer. Finally after 6 months I wrote the doctor personally and laid out the problem. He apologized profusely and read out my labs but they were no longer valid. So I would have to do them again.
Furious I said politely that I dont think this is going to work. I don't want to spend more money with you and get ignored and undervalued. I guess you cant rely on recommendations from years prior as things change as do people and healthcare providers and their priorities.

For Benzo w/d there is no better Dr anywhere. After the death in family I was prescribed xanax for insomnia and anxiety. I took it for 2 months a few times a week and when I stopped experienced intense w/d symptoms. Visits to other physicains were useless-they said it was all in my head. I found Dr Madill off of Benzodocs and he saved my life. He paid close attention to me and all of my questions were answered. Their staff is the most friendly, welcoming staff I've ever dealt with. They are so warm and professional, and make the whole experience that much better. I was so impressed with the progress I was able to make after visiting them. All my questions were answered, and I feel a lot more confident and hopeful about the future.
