CHESTER ZAHN COMPLETELY MISDIAGNOSED a friend of mine that I recommended to this office. I 100% regret ever referring him here because Chester Zahn showed that he completely did not care about his patient and evidence of that was my friend losing 60 pound within 10 weeks and the doctor telling him that he had "fundamental issues" and that he needed to "push through the pain". He allowed my friend to suffer for that whole time assuming that it was a spastic colon, prescribed large amounts of fiber and laxatives, but he did not suggest that a colonoscopy was needed; he said that he would do the colonscopy "to ease his thoughts..." In the initial appointment with Chester Zahn, my friend told him that a doctor previously diagnosed him with diverticulitis, but Zahn told him that he highly doubts my friend has diverticulitis. On my friend's last visit with Chester Zahn, my friend was in extremely bad shape and I'm not a doctor, but it was visibly obvious that my friend was extremely ill, and when he got called back into the examination room, my friend went immediately to the exam table and lied down on it looking barely conscious, and then Chester Zahn walks in and asks my friend, in an uncaring way, "How are you feeling?" Obviously my friend was not doing good if he laying down instead of sitting up on an exam table like he did in the past visits. Chester Zahn is oblivious to true patient care if he did not catch that my friend was obviously ill. After months of being in extreme abdominal pain, my friend finally sought a second opinion from another GI doctor and that second GI Dr told my friend that he needed a colonoscopy "right away!" My friend got a coloscopy the following day but they could not complete it do to an obstruction in his colon. They then did a barium enema and found out that it was diverticulitis! Then we find out that all that fiber that Chester Zahn was prescribing my friend, was making his condition worse and not better! My friend saw Chester Zahn a total of 5 times and each time he pushed fiber as the cure for my friend's spastic colon, and did not see that the fiber was in fact making him worse! My friend went in for his first appointment with Chester Zahn weighing 198 pounds and on his last visit with Chester Zahn, my friend weighed 168 pounds, yet Chester Zahn still did not find that alarming and all he said was to take more fiber. My friend saw two other doctors (a primary care physician and a GI doctor) and both told my friend that all that fiber was "exasperating" his diverticulitis. Finding out that Chester Zahn was causing harm to his patient (my friend) makes me believe that if my friend continued to have seen Chester Zahn, that my friend would have died. The "Hippocratic Oath" is an oath that all physician must take "to do no harm" to their patients, but it was completely obvious that Chester Zahn disregarded the Hippocratic Oath when seeing my friend as his patient and he did nothing but harm to my friend by prescribing him fiber without 100% knowing that my friend has spastic colon, and exasperating his true diagnosis of diverticulitis. This has taught me an important lesson in life: if you truly feel that a doctor just does not seem to "care," seek a second opinion immediately! Chester Zahn expressed actions and words to my friend that displays that he truly did not care about my friend as his patient, because all he did was put my friend in more pain than when he first came in! Chester Zahn may have the official title of a doctor, but his attitude does not match because he truly showed that he did not care, and doctors who show that they do not care for their patients, are not TRUE doctors in my eyes. I DO NOT RECOMMEND CHESTER ZAHN TO ANYONE!!!!!
