I think he has a touch of dementia. His personality took a 180 for no apparent reason at all. He came in talking like he was straight out of sesame street. Giving me the Wikipedia on my disorder that I have had for over twenty years - as if I was three and needed a bed time story on "why the poor wittle girl is I so sick". I thought, "what a sweet old man". Then... Mr Crazy entered the room. He was like Sybil. Out of the blue he starts ranting about neurologist (getting louder and louder) and that he did not believe in certain diseases and screaming at me to show him proof of a research paper- several times and very angry. I couldn't even answer him because he kept yelling. He scared the tar out of me. Spooky and crazy-la-la. I actually think I saw his eyes glaze over - but that could have been my imagination - after all this was like a dark comedy playing out in real life. He should retire before he gets sued - if that hasn't already happened. I left a bit shaky - but later thought, "was I being punked?" I can't help but look back and think it was a practical joke or something. If you want a visit to the twilight zone - hey! go ahead and be examined by Dr Cushard. If you want a real Dr who can treat you - RUN! Go see a different endo.
