BEWARE OF THIS MAN!
This is very long and detailed almost 10 years of history to review!

This review is overdue and involves several years of history (almost a decade) and experiences with doctor carpenter. So this is not a hasty assessment bc I am a firm believer in giving people the benefit of the doubt.
So rewind back almost a decade before he had changed offices.
I was a patient at Mobile Skin and Laser who would get basic skin care treatment etc.
His aestheticians during this time were mostly (all but one which I will cover shortly) all fantastic at what they did and that was what kept me coming back. During my appointments the aestheticians who were providing my treatments would frequently confide to me about being mistreated by doctor carpenter and even humiliated by him in front of other patients. I noticed the aestheticians started quitting and finding other jobs left and right. Fast forward about 1.5 years later and one of the primary aestheticians who worked with me called me on my cell phone and relayed some very dark information about doctor carpenter and shared that she was leaving the office and wanted to give me additional information about a traumatic chemical peel gone bad that I had experienced several months prior that doctor carpenter got wind of and subsequently the info in my chart regarding the peel was changed, altered, and basically tracks were covered bc the girl who did it did not follow procotol and left my face peeling for 3-4 months looking like I had some flesh eating disease, it was very very embarrassing and traumatic and nothing that could be hidden. That was (for the time being) the last straw and I took a break until fast forward several years later when hormones started acting up.
So keeping in mind the previous info plus my own OBGYN warning me NOT to do hormone treatment with this man (couldn't do treatment with my OB bc he only does pellets and I was looking to do injections) on top of all of the huge scandal that he was very much part of that went down several years ago I went against better judgement and again gave him the benefit of the doubt (which I take full responsibility for) again much to my shegrin. Unlike my OB (who also had personal, academic, and professional dealings with this man Lawrence carpenter and had given me personal accounts of this mans shady and unethical behavior/practice) who monitors his patients while they are doing hormone treatment (I did do pellets with him before so I can attest to this) dr carpenter did NOT oversee my hormone injections which caused some very disturbing things to take place. His Nurse was left in change and me not knowing what I was doing was getting the shots (testosterone )every two-three weeks. Unbeknownst to me the side effects started to kick in first daily headaches, then strange feeling of facial pressure, voice changed for deeper (year later now and still is not back to norm), grew hair on face, and more personal things were occurring that I would rather not mention. It was BAD!
So, I figured out via crazy enough the Health Hut what was causing all of my crazy symptoms that just didn't dawn on me bc I wanted to believe that certainly this man wouldn't be that hands off and permit someone to get frequent enough injections that could cause all of these horrible things to be happening to me but yep! That's exactly what happened.
So stopped the injections immediately.
Did go back to discuss w him but that went absolutely NO where. He is that type of doctor that you absolutely can NOT question or else he becomes very abrasive, defensive, and begins patronizing you. So that didn't end well.
I know this will seem strange and I admit it was a very very poor decision and I leaned my lesson after so many horrible experiences here but I did go back one more time a year later really hopeful that things would be different. They weren't. More rudeness, disrespect, and horrible bedside manner. Gone for good!
Sidenote he uses profanity thruout the office so if easily offended by language just a heads up. Also the wait it 45 minutes or longer no matter what day or time that you go.
Called to get my records transferred that same day and the rude receptionist who works for him hung up in my face twice!

Good riddance! I tried and tried and gave chance after chance but this bridge is burned down to the ground.

While Dr, Carpenter is pleasant, kind and compassionate Dr., his nurses are beyond rude and unpleasant. Seeing you spend/talk to them more than him, this is what actually drives your experience. They treat you as if something is wrong with you and you are a piece on the ground. They NEVER smile, rude, hang up on you and not helpful at all toward patients needs. When mentioned to others in office, nothing changes. The overall experience each time is miserable, including the 2 hour wait. I have tried for a while as I love Dr. Carpenter but am done as I know there are many good Dr. that have friendly staff to match the compassion of the doctor. At the end of the day YOU are the client! Many forget without us as patients THEY are not in business.
