I made the mistake of walking barefoot on the boardwalk and got a 4 inch splinter very deep in my foot. I immediately went to Dr. Raab and quickly got to see one of his nurse practitioners. She numbed my foot and took out a very small splinter and told me I was fine. I pointed out the clear chunk of wood in my foot and begged her to remove it but she rudely informed me that it was a callouss and sent me away despite me insisting that she was wrong. The next day I returned and after finally being able to see Dr. Raab I was immediately sent to a surgical center (it was to deep to remove in their office) to have the splinter removed. After two days of terrible pain the splinter was removed. However because of their negligence the splinter spent more time in my foot than it should have, and the area was very infected from the chemicals in the wood. I had to go back for 3 follow up surgeries to remove the infected areas in my foot and I was ultimately left with a $10,000 medical bill. If you value your health do not go to this office unless you are sure you will see Dr. Raab. His staff is incompetent and rude and will not give you the care you deserve.
