When I went to Dr. Wright I was a pregnant teen. She was always very rude to me, and made me feel very uncomfortable. It was to the point I felt pressured to NOT mention anything that was bothering me. I was a young first time mother, and I was treated as if I was ignorant, even though I was in parenting classes and doing everything I could to prepare for my baby. During the delivery I had horrible back labor and I told her something was wrong. She ignored me. In the end it took an hour of pushing, and when she finally looked my son was in the wrong position. She used vacuum assistance without my consent, and even though it was necessary, it would have been nice to be consulted. Later on at my 6 week checkup, I asked for a mirena. She instead placed a copper IUD which really messed up my body. Again she did not explain or receive consent. I did not realize it was the wrong one until after it was placed and she told me it would last ten years. I knew the Mirena only lasts 5 because even though I was young, I still did research. Overall I felt she was rude, judgmental and condescending. Thank God I found the Baystate Midwives. I have never had another problem.
