Let me give you the background
of my complaint against Dr Burton.

I had a right hip replacement with Dr El Sissy.
The hip replacement did not go well.
I was left with severe right hip pain.
He said that I may have developed Bursitis.

I had never had Bursitis severe or otherwise
before the hip replacement.

Dr El Sissy tried to fix the Bursitis
by doing a second operation.

He found a Bursa that was severely inflamed.
Again, I had never had Bursitis severe or otherwise
before the hip replacement.

Dr El Sissy removed the inflamed Bursa.

The severe right hip pain did not go away.

At this point, Dr El Sissy did not know what to do.
So he referred me to Dr Burton for a second opinion.

Dr Burton and I talked for about 30 minutes.

He told me in so many words that nothing could be
done for me.
He offered to give me a cortisone shot.

I was disappointed.

I suggested that maybe Dr El Sissy did something
wrong since I had never had Bursitis of any kind
before the right hip replacement.

Because it is so important, I will repeat myself:
I never had Bursitis mild or otherwise before the
right hip replacement.

I suggested that maybe there was a connection
between my severe right hip pain and Dr Elsissy's
right hip replacement.

Dr Burton denied that there was any kind of connection.
He restated this in different words several times.

He said that often people develop Bursitis but
that doesn't mean that there was any connection
to the right hip surgery.

I even suggested that maybe the doctor did
something wrong.
Like why did I still have severe Bursitis after
the second operation?

I had trouble with his statement that there
was no connection.

I just couldn't believe he would say that.

Anyway, I was out of line and said:

"Can you put that statement in writing.
I would like to take that to a lawyer."

I said the above only. I said nothing else that
could be called inappropriate.

Obviously. Dr Burton thought I was going to sue
him and Dr El Sissy.

He accused me of threatening him and told me to leave
the building and never see any doctor in this building
ever again.

He was wrong about me threatening to sue.

I was simply stunned by his statement and spoke hastily.
Did I threaten him?
Not in my mind.
But obviously Dr Burton thought I did.

Was my choice of words poor?
Maybe.
But Dr Burton really unnerved me.

Why was I stunned?

I had never had Bursitis in my life.
Not even mild Bursitis let alone severe Bursitis.
Dr El Sissy even found an inflamed Bursa that was never
there before the hip replacement.

I am stuck with a severe hip problem for
the rest of my life.

I went to Dr Burton for help.
Even today I am asking for his help.
Not to sue him.

I'm sorry if I angered Dr Burton.
I wasn't feeling too good myself.

I may be in a wheelchair sometime in the future.
My hip is that bad.

I will let you the readers of this review decide
if I should have been banned for life.

What do you think? Was I wrong?
Or was Dr Burton wrong?
