He , from the onset, was direct, knowledgeable and personable. I saw him numerous times and had various surgical procedures done. I would feel comfortable and confident in seeing him in the future. I am a retired RN. I mention this because my 40 years in the profession caused me to have numerous docs to compare him too.

Since he has left Emory Spine Center, Dr. Schaufele has changed for the worse. At Emory he advised conservative treatment and spent time with the patient to explain the injury. In private practice he pressures the patient to have aggressive procedures quickly, even before giving conservative treatment, such as physical therapy a chance to help. If the patient does not want to consent to aggressive treatment, Dr. Schaufele becomes angry and rude and tells the patient he will no longer be treated at Dr. Schaufele's practice and must go elsewhere for pain medicine.

Never! I don't think I've ever been put on hold here for a long time

Not at all, they had plenty of staff members to help me whenever I needed assistance

Not at all, they were one of the kindest, most attentive individuals I've ever met
