Besides the numerous errors on my behalf as far as misdiagnosing me and writing things in my records that I never said. When I asked for a test for a particular virus she laughed at me. I was then tested somewhere else and I tested positive for this particular virus, and was then able to be treated after suffering for months with it because Dr. Swarup would not. I also mentioned that I was very stressed and she just kept asking me if I was depressed and did I want an antidepressant, and sleeping pills. She pushed many prescriptions on me (that were not appropriate to my particular problems and even appeared to be upset when I would not take them.
Then I was absolutely astonished when a prescription that I was on for many years that worked well for me needed a pre-auth from my new healthcare provider the Dr. did not want to bother faxing information on my behalf. My pharmacy made a few requests on my behalf then I was told the Dr. was just going to take me off altogether (even though it worked very well for me and the Dr had prescribed it for7-8 years), this is not something you just go off of. The Dr’s reason… she did not want to bother writing numeous prescriptions, even though this would have helped me financially do to the fact she did not bother with a pre-auth therefore I was paying full price. But I would have done so and did not ever dispute the Dr’s decision, I did not understand it but never argued about it.
I never made any correspondence with the Dr’s office but when they called me to tell me the Dr. was releasing me as a patient, just after the pharmacy called about the prescriptions to be faxed (to make it easier for the Dr. and there were coupons that would have made the medicine free to me as a patient),she just wanted to drop everything.
I was never been warned or told anything that would have led up to such a decision and was not given an appropriate reason for this just that the Dr. can do whatever she wants. I did not understand this phone call and explained that I complied with all that I was supposed to do and asked if I could speak on my behalf, and asked again why I was being released, I was never given a reason.
I don’t understand punishing me as a patient and using my medicine against me??
To take a patient off of a medicine that was working fine and Dr. prescribed with no problem until a pre-auth was asked for, is not only a disregard to the patient’s health but is inappropriate care and a cruel form of punishment.
I feel as a patient I was wrongfully let go from Dr. Swarups office and discriminated against because I cannot afford the medicine and trying to find a way to be able to afford the medicine that does not impact my family in a detrimental way. I feel my dignity was violated as well as my health and livelihood compromised. To just disregard a patient's health is the worst form of errogance. G
