I saw Dr. Hopson for a CONSULTATION on one of my big toes - I had experienced a trauma to the toe, the toenail had fallen off, & when the toenail finally grew back, only half of the nail was attached to the skin. I explained the situation with my toe to Dr. Hopson and he suggested that he perform a "MINOR" surgery to remove the half of the toenail that was not attached to the skin. I was supposed to return to work later that day and said I didn't feel comfortable having the surgery on the spot, that I would rather reschedule. After useless pleading on my behalf, Dr. Hopson relentlessly insisted that I have the procedure done that day and that it wouldn't hurt at all - I could go straight to work afterwards. I ended up having one of the worst panic attacks of my life in his office - hyperventilating & the whole bit - and he still followed through with the not-so-painless procedure. The nurse tried to be comforting, but there was only so much she could do. I left in tears and in pain - so much so that I had to call out of work for the rest of the day, and then go to the immediate care facility to get pain killers & a walking boot/cast that I had to wear for the following 2 weeks until the pain subsided. Needless to say, I never returned to this office, and would NEVER recommend anyone go there. It was made obvious to me that this doctor does not care about you, your situation, or your feelings, only that he makes his money.
