Can not say that it has been a positive relationship, staff or McAdam. Would advise you look elsewhere

McAdam and his staff (especially all of the incredibly inept staff at the front desk when you first arrive (all 3 or 4 being nothing more than what seems to be a part of an ongoing tour group with the play "A comedy of errors!"), are the absolute and outright WORST! This was discovered when my wife had been in to see McAdam a few years ago after being rear-ended in a car accident, my wife being not at all thrilled with McAdam's (and subordinate's) sub-standard care. My wife also found McAdam's physical therapy department (which they try very "hard sell" to force you into, instead of choosing your own, which we'd found out was not at all legal for them to do) substandard. My wife has since gone with her own choice of physical therapist, which she is now very pleased with. At that visit a few years back, McAdam saw her quickly (for less than 10 or 12 minutes) and then turned her over to his PA's. He has several PA's and uses them pretty much exclusively, so that only on a rare occasion do you ever again see 'doctor' McAdam. However, we were (just a few months ago) given a script by a doctor to go back to McAdam for my wife's new problem. We said "NO WAY" to that doctor, but that doctor told us that "McAdam's practice has changed, and he is now one of the best." WOW, was that EVER A TOTAL UNTRUTH! So in trusting the doctor who recommended that we go back to McAdam and his badly run "medical circus", we called McAdam's office to set up an appointment for my wife. We were asked if this visit was still due to the former no-fault insurance car accident from years ago. We told McAdam's office "No, this problem has nothing to do with that car accident from years ago, so this will go under our regular (private) health insurance. McAdam's office said "Okay", and sent us a "new patient packet". It's interesting because "Deb" (you'll know about who she is as you continue to read this) tried to take this packet from us to cover their/her butts when they litterally threw us out, but I refused to give it to "Deb"! To add insult to injury for this (what was to be a) new visit a few months ago, we waited 3 weeks to get in and an hour and a half(!) before we were seen. My wife, in great pain by that time, laid out on the exam table to give her lower back some relief, after we were put into an exam room to wait for "Deb". Then a PA came in 30 minutes later and told us we had to leave. I said "What are you talking about?" and the PA said that they weren't going to see my wife. At that point, this woman I spoke of named "Deb" came in. This was (as we'd been told when we'd scheduled this visit 3 weeks prior) McAdam's right hand person, another PA. And do you know what "Deb" did? She threw me and my wife out! She said my wife wasn't going to be seen by her or anyone(!), and that we should "Leave NOW!" No, you just cannot make this kind of stuff up! "Deb" stayed silent when I asked her why was she doing this, and what was going on? I never swore, and did my best to keep my composure and voice down, even though (as I rightly felt) they were abusing my wife! I swear on my wife of 38 year's head, my best friend and 1/2 of a wonderful life and marriage we've shared, that this actually happened! WOW! To say I'm angry at the way my wife was treated is an understatement of IMMENSE proportion! I'm now in the process of working with the NY State Health department's medical department, as our private insurance company recommended we do. So please, do yourself and your loved ones a favor before they fall into the pit of lunacy that is the office of Dr. McAdam. Please stay away from there, very VERY far away from there! There are many competent and superb physiatrists and physical therapists out there within the WNY area. If you value your health and the health of your loved ones, please stay far, FAR away from this incompetent, unhealthy and INANE medical meat market!
