She received the American Association of Hand Surgery's prestigious International Teaching Award for Hand Therapy in 2008. She spoke an many places in Egypt that year as a destination for the award. She returned by invitation to present again in Cairo and also Saudi Arabia in 2010.
Mary has also presented numerous workshops across the USA on the specialized area of "Orthotics for Fractures" and "Orthotics: the Basics".
