I have been going to Dr. Taylor for a long time and do not plan on changing doctors. I have been to several Doctors in the area that have her special certification that I need to get my meds and she is by far the best one around. She is extremely fair and understanding. She listens to you and realizes that not everyone is med seeking, but many people self medicate and actually are refused medications they need because they were refused them by another doctor or they were just afraid to be stigmatized. The office was lenient in the beginning, but I felt that way because I had come from rabinowitz in herkimer who is an oddball that has no clue how diverse the world is and works in a prison also - so he talks down to his patients (as though we are inmates) and I speak all of this from experience. I have been to my rock bottom and it is a long hard road back to the top, but I can say that thanks to Dr. Taylor and her staff, I am doing better today than I ever was with the other doctors and that i have been in a very long time. I LOVE Dr, Taylor & her Staff!! They are awesome and polite and friendly and understanding - as long as you are not in there for ulterior motives, they will treat you like you deserve to be treated, which is with dignity and respect - regardless of history/race/ethnicity/looks/insurance.There is a reason why they are never taking new patients - because Dr. Taylor has so many that she can't. However, There may be an Awesome Treatment Team Leader or Supervisor of hers named Kim(?not sure) that you can call if you need Dr. Taylor for a specific reason. .and if you are truly in need and tell her your situation, they just might take you.You didn't hear it from me though!! I will absolutely return and highly recommend Dr. Taylor, and Dr. Halpern for pediatrics any day!. I always have an amazing experience, and they ARE by far the best I've ever seen. One of the first things I noticed about this business was the level of detail and attention they gave to me when I called and needed a doctor immediately and not just any doc - a doc who was trained in my medicine - and Dr. Taylor was, but was not taking new patients. Somehow, I was put on the phone with her supervisor I think..and she was AMAZING! She got me in the next day so I would not get sick from not having my meds after being discharged abrubly from my former doctor - Dr. Duck. Quack Quack. I will never forget the kindness, and the compassion this lady showed me - a person she had never met, that had called in with just a small glimmer of hope which is unheard of almost these days. She treated me like her friend or sister, she knew I really NEEDED this care and she could have said no like other staff I had talked to at their office told me..but she didn't. As for the technicalities? Everything is handicap-accessible. Even the bathrooms were designed to be accessible with doors wide enough to accommodate wheelchairs and grab bars in the stalls.Their effort to accommodate people with any special needs or disabilities was obvious - with ramps outside and elevators inside- their own x-ray and lab, and a convenient care for those times you need it but can't get a same day appointment.... They are absolutely incredible, the doctors and staff, and make others in the same field look like beginners. I never have more than a 5 minute wait and they are very organized and you can tell everything flows through the day the best it can be expected to in a doctors office. If they are experiencing an emergency and the doctor has to be called out (very rare) , they have a nurse take care of you via communicating with the Doctor and reschedule you as soon as possible to see the doctor so you don't miss your dr. - patient time. What more can I say?
