Dr. Lewis is the responsible physician in the case brought about with the NYSDOH which left me deaf in one ear due to a misdiagnosis by not implementing proper diagnostics (in my case an MRI of the brain) that would have shown a tumor which ultimately years later left me deaf in one ear as the tumor grew and intertwined with the auditory nerve which had to be severed. Instead I was given a blanket diagnosis of Menier's disease and was told there was nothing that could be done. Unfortunately he was only found guilty of misconduct, but I was left deaf in one ear. I was not the only victim, see the NYSDOH sanctions and my legal notice appearing in the Journal News every Friday and Sunday. It is sad that this is my only recourse against him. I hope no others face my fate under his care.
