They have a very good professional reputation. I know that I'm under the care of an expert. I love that they are always more than happy to answer my questions, and actually welcome questions. I've felt awkward at some other places I've visited when I've tried to ask a lot of questions, but not here. They were one of the kindest, most caring staff I've ever dealt with. It didn't matter how many times I called with a question or concern, they were always happy to help me. Their office was one of the quietest, most peaceful places I've ever visited. I was able to relax very easily.

In 2002 I experienced my first seizure at the age of 22. I was examined by a Dr Murphy at the Mpls Clinic of Neurology in Coon Rapids, MN. I was told that I was not epileptic, and that many people experience just one seizure in their lifetime. Six years later, at the age of 30, I experienced a second seizure, while at work. After much research I decided to consult with Dr Abols in order to help identify a diagnosis, and a treatment plan. Unfortunetly, after undergoing several tests, and several rounds of questions with Dr Abols, not once did she offer up a diagnosis, but instead simply prescribed generalized anti-seizure meds. I then experienced a third seizure two months just two months after the second seizure, and a forth seizure the following month.

Even after I began to complain about the effects the anti-seizure meds she prescribed for me, the only response I received were stern, off putting messages from Dr Abols nurse telling me that I cannot reduce any of the meds prescribed and that I must continue to take them and further increase the dosage! Not until I refused to further increase the dosage of the anti-seizure meds, did Dr Abols show some interest. When asking her again for a diagnosis, she responded by saying "you have seizures, which means you have a seizure disorder, this is your diagnosis." Perhaps its just me, but I'm pretty sure I could have figured out that I'm having seizures without the hundreds of dollars I spent of testing and run around visits with Dr Abols.

Yesterday, I received a copy of a report Dr Abols made up for my medical chart, describing me as extremely obese. So much so, that their office could not find a cuff large enough to take my blood pressure, which strangely enough I've never had trouble with in the past, and I am confident in saying that neither Dr Abols, nor her nurse ever attempted to obtain my blood pressure. The report goes on to state that although I claim to have contacted their offices shortly before my third seizure in October '08, that they have no record of it. So, I in turn, must be a liar despite the fact that I recieved a message on my voicemail at work from Dr Abols nurse, stating that I "cannot reduce any of the meds prescribed and that I must continue to take them and further increase the dosage!"
