I waited about 1 hour and 15 minutes to see Dr. Houghton for a 10 minute appointment. When he finally came in, he failed to give a reason or offer an apology for his tardiness. He then proceeded to start examining me without washing his hands or putting on gloves. If you want a doctor who values your time and utilizes basic preventative measures (like hand washing), I WOULD NOT SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT WITH DR. HOUGHTON.

Whenever I called with a question or concern, the staff made me feel stupid for calling. I avoided calling because I didn't want to feel stupid. They were ready to see me when I showed up for my appointment. I never had to wait for them to show up. Everyone in my community knows that they are the absolute best in the field.

There's an extra note that belongs here. Dr. Houghton is a great diagnostician. Five years ago, when other specialists said that the diagnostic test didn't show anything, Dr. Houghton said he wasn't comfortable with "medical mysteries." Due exclusively to his perseverance, cancer was found before it became irreversable.
