I have never been so insulted in my life. The first time I visited him my husband and child were with me. He was respectful and i felt good about the test he recommended. The second time i visited i was by myself and getting results from my MRI. The results were not what we expected. Instead of referring me to someone who might help, he held the door open and dismissed me with a prescription for Naproxen. He would not even look at me. I was completely baffled and mortified. At first i did not even understand what he was doing. We were discussing my health calmly and then he stood up and told me he was done. His nurse also spoke disparagingly about a different doctor that i had seen which i felt was completely unprofessional.
I am thankful that there are patients that have not had this experience.
I would just hope that others are aware and possibly not have to experience this. To have a medical professional treat anyone this way can be incredibly confusing and disturbing. I thankfully had been referred by a friend to another doctor who was baffled by this treatment, but kept treating me until i did have progress.
