My son was in town for a hockey tournament. They treated him quickly and comfortably. No extra nonsense, just great care.

My only reservation is that this practice offers no way to pay bills online. We are not from the area, so us trolls (since we're from under the bridge) will just a check or call with a credit card. Who does that? It's 2018 already. We don't even think we have checks...

Anyway, it's the care that matters, and we received great care. Reasonable price and a kind, patient Doctor.

I recently moved to the Upper Peninsula February 2016. I chose UPHS Family Practice because they got better recommendations in my personal inquiries. I expected to see a,practicing Doctor. What I got was a Resident. I am 64 years old and have type 2 diabetes and other physical conditions which lead to my early retirement. Each time I have seen him I get an uneasy feeling afterward. My observations leading to my feelings,is that he seems to be stressed because he's rushed and overburdened with work and his schooling at UPHS. This is probably normal for a Resident but is a real adjustment for me. After my last visit I tried to make an appointment for a diabetic check up. He said that his schedule was'nt made up yet that far in the future and he was soon to do a rotation in the main hospital doing "rounds". This left me a feeling that I can't depend on him "being there" for me in an emergency or in between scheduled appointments. I know he is under the supervision of a attending physician who only "popped in" for a minute when I saw Dr. Bidle. And I did'nt really see him long enough to make an impression or to remember his name. And I can see that even Dr. Johnson is stretched thin being an Attending physician. In other words, I feel like I have'nt found a "physician". I also went through a fiasco involving some renewed prescriptions and after looking into the cause of the problem found it to be a person at UPHS Family Prectice who was at fault.
In a "nutshell", this is a rocky start to say the least and my confidence in DLP UPHS has been shaken.
