Our highly trained licensed opticians function in the boutique dispensary on the main level. Many other technicians help out as well. They have all been an integral part of providing superior eyecare and many have 20 years of experience with Woodbury Optical Studio.

Services Dr. Dean Hart, OD., M.A., B.S.,A.A.S., F.A.A.O. Dr. Hart is the founder of Woodbury Optical and has been treating patients for more than 20 years. He graduated from the State University of New York College of Optometry in 1987 and is DPA and TPA certified. Dr. Hart is also licensed as an optician by the American Board of Opticianry. He is an optometrist, teacher, clinician, scientist and author to all eyecare professions: opticianry, optometry and ophthalmology and has been published in scientific journals as well as textbooks. He is also an internationally respected lecturer in the field of contact lenses, whose work has been published globally. He is currently the head of the Low Vision clinic at a leading NY teaching hospital, and gives lectures on refraction, optics, contact lenses and low vision to ophthalmology residents.

The one thing I love about them is that they always help me out when I need my glasses repaired or adjusted. They always fix my glasses pretty quickly, so I never have to worry about being without them. They've stayed open past their closing times many times when I've needed help. They've never turned me away when I've needed them. I'm always amazed at how considerate and concerned they are for my well-being. Their advice is always wonderful and completely unbiased. They are completely committed to helping me as long as it takes to find the best solution. I never have to worry that they'll back out or give up if a solution isn't reached immediately, which has been a problem for me at other places. When comparing them to others I have visited for the same condition, they are among the best I have seen.

I've never had to worry about them being understaffed or not being able to help me right when I need it. They have a huge staff that's very knowledgeable and qualified. This provider has so much helpful information available online. They have an impressive website that's easy to use, with forms that you can fill out before your appointment. They also have a great online presence in multiple directories. I will absolutely return. I had an amazing experience, and they were by far the best I've ever seen. One thing I noticed about their office was how absolutely fantastic it smelled. They must clean or sanitize all the time. Their office was the absolute perfect temperature. It was so nice to be able to get out of the weather outside and sit in a relaxing, comfortable office.
