I would not recommend Dr. Hamati's practice at Cardiology Consultants of Johnson City to anyone. If you have the choice, use another cardiologist. While Dr. Hamati is personable and knowledgeable, the communication from his office is abysmal. After having left numerous messages with the office regarding test results (echo cardiogram), I received no call back at all, not even to indicate that results were not available. This was capped off with a call today (8/19/2011) where the secretary seemed to purposefully place me on extended hold. This pattern of poor patient service has been the rule with the practice. Any medical practice that relies on the United Postal Service as its primary channel of communication regarding appointments, test results, etc. should be avoided at all costs. This is such a practice.
