I have been to chiropractors since the early 1980's for migraines, knee pain, pinched nerves, a popped rib (physician didn't even see it in an x-ray!) and today for metatarsal pain. Since most of them work for their patients and not insurance companies, they treat as they were taught - not bought.

These doctors and staff are the best I've ever visited - I can't say enough for them.

Things that won't happen in a PhD's office:
 I walked up to the office one time with my very large dog and the staff watched her while I saw the doctor.
 They make every effort to see that you are free of pain and don't worry whether you have the money in your pocket or not.
 They practice what they were taught - not bought and dictated by insurance companies.
 They are great listeners.
 They are never over-booked.
 You won't wait in this office more than 5-10 minutes to see the doctor.
 The only time you will have to be 'referred' to another specialist is when they see something out of their expertise. This has happened once with my son and the chiropractor saved his life doing this!
