Rochna Hazra

Depression, Anxiety, Addictions and anger mask our emotions of hurt, pain and fear. By exploring these feelings and moving through them to a place of empowerment and fulfillment, we are able to gain control over our emotions rather than being run by them.

Most of us believe that if we just change our outward situation, we will be happy.

But the fact remains:

Services Anxiety Counseling: Anxiety is a natural reaction that our bodies experience as a result of stress. It can actually help us cope with situations of crisis. Yet when anxiety begins to spill over to all parts of our life, making it difficult for us to deal with everyday life situations, or preventing us from pursuing new and exciting opportunities, it has become a problem.

Alcoholism Treatment: Very often, people think of alcoholics as drunks rolling on a street corner. However, if alcohol is ruling your life, moods and relationships, you probably have a problem with drinking. A drinking problem can be insidious and can creep into your life without you realizing it.

Sex Addiction Treatment: There are those who dismiss the idea that pornography can be addictive. But in reality, Porn or sex Addiction can have very harmful and very real consequences on many important areas of your life like relationships, career, finances and health.
The first step is to acknowledge and be open to the fact that there may be a problem. It is only after we acknowledge that there may be a problem can we seek answers to the problem.

Relapse Prevention:A lifestyle change is not easy to make and it is harder to maintain. Some people relapse several times before sobriety becomes a regular part of their lives.

It is very common for an addiction to rear its head right after discharge from a treatment center. This is especially true when the addict returns to the same surroundings and does not have a strong support system. But treatment in a rehab is just part of the recovery, albeit a very important one; the rest has to do with the addict and how hard they work their toward sustaining sobriety.

Depression Counseling:You wish you could snap out of it, but you don’t know how.

Depression can seep into every part of your life. Sometimes, depression is brought on by a traumatic event, death, divorce or a loss and sometimes depression strikes without a clear cut reason. However it comes about, depression can leave you feeling pretty hopeless and alone. Even the most regular of tasks or decisions can feel overwhelming. Your experience a loss of confidence and self-esteem. Anger and irritability seem to be right at the surface and often enough, this anger and blame is turned inward against yourself.

You avoid friends and family. Cooking dinner or helping your kids with homework feels exhausting. Your friends and family express concern but all you want is to be left alone.

You were always highly productive at work but now you have no enthusiasm or interest in it. You call in sick and then feel overwhelmed by piled–up work the next day. You wonder if your boss notices and you try to your best to act as if everything is under control.

If it is any comfort, you are not alone. Depression affects 17 million Americans a year, according to the National Institute of Mental Health. 6.9 % of US adults have experienced a depressive episode in the past year. Major depressive disorder is the leading cause of disability in the U.S. for ages 15-44.

Thus, as you can see, depression is a very common problem but depression treatment is effective and can be fairly speedy as well.
