Dr. Karen Willhoite and her staff have made it to where I am not afraid to go the Dentist anymore. They are so nice and caring. I would recommend them to anyone.

I have had two instances of being referred to specialist by her office. The first time I was told that the specialist would work for the insurance rate and that her office would be happy to make an appointment for me. I declined and called my insurance where I found that their rate was $150 higher than my insurance rate. Hmmm.... My next episode was for another specialist when she saw something on my panoramic x-ray. She did not give me much information except that I should have it looked at "like we had discussed previously." It had been a year since I'd had that x-ray taken and she had never mentioned this concern before this visit. She volunteered no information. In fact, when I asked her what the problem could be she responded, "It could be a tumor, but I'm not saying your jaw will fall off." I felt that her explanation of my problem was unprofessional, minimal, and blunt. I would not recommend anyone visit her office. Once again, I was referred to a group of specialists and an appointment was made. I allowed them to make the appointment for me because I was in shock and scared to death from the mention of a tumor. I was assured that this group accepted my insurance. I called my insurance company and found that this group did not accept my insurance. I was able to locate a specialist that did contract with my insurance company and got an appointment for the day following my visit to Dr. Willhoite. Her recommended group was going to take a month to see me. I have since found a new dentist that several co-workers have recommended and found that they had experienced problems with Dr. Willhoite also. I am not someone who normally complains, but I would feel terrible if someone else found her the same way I did, through the reviews on this board. I had to be honest.
