Services Services we offer include, but are not limited to:

Routine Dental Cleaning:
It is suggested that patients should be seen for a dental cleaning and routine exam every 6 months or as recommended by Dr. Basinger. During the cleaning, plaque and calculus will be removed from your teeth leaving behind a bright and polished smile. X-rays may need to be taken to help detect possible cavities in between teeth that cannot be seen by the naked eye.

Periodontal Services:
Though your mouth may feel healthy and you may not have any symptoms, periodontal disease can progress without a patient knowing. If left untreated, periodontal disease can destroy the supporting bones in your mouth. This is why early treatment and prevention is so important! Dr. Basinger and his staff will make sure you are receiving the highest quality of care that will assist in preventing periodontal disease from developing.

Cosmetic Dentistry:
We offer a range of cosmetic dentistry services that allow our patients to achieve the smile they have always dreamed about. We are able to reshape your teeth in a variety of ways; including the use of veneers or bonding, and natural-looking tooth-colored fillings.

Cosmetic Restorations (White Bonded Fillings):
If you dislike the look that old silver restorations give your mouth, white fillings are the perfect solution! Your old silver restorations will be replaced with tooth colored fillings, resulting in a smile you can be proud to show off. White fillings are also bonded to the natural tooth structure increasing the overall strength of the tooth, unlike silver (amalgam) fillings that have no bonding properties.

Crowns and Bridges:
Crowns are necessary when a tooth is severely damaged or has suffered from advanced decay and cannot be fixed with bonded filling material. Crowns cover the remaining tooth and restore its function, strength, and esthetics. Several crown material options are available and Dr. Basinger will discuss these on an individual basis depending on the area of the mouth that needs to be restored.

We now offer Digital Impressions for Crowns & Bridges

Dental Implants:
If you happen to be missing one or more teeth, dental implants could be the perfect solution for you! Dental implants are natural-looking and are permanently anchored into the patient's jawbone and, unlike traditional bridges, no preparation of adjacent teeth is required.

Endodontic Therapy (Root Canals):
Root canal therapy is needed when a cavity has reached the pulp of a tooth causing an infection of the nerve, or when severe trauma has affected the tooth. Regular checkups with your dentist helps to avoid and prevent the need for endodontic therapy. But once the pulp has become infected, it must be treated to avoid further issues since it cannot heal by itself. Some signs that a pulp is infected include sensitivity to hot or cold foods or liquids, pain, swelling, or even a bad taste in the mouth. For some patients no symptoms are obvious and they are unaware a problem even exists until they are seen by their dentist for an exam.

Dental Emergencies:
Dental emergencies can be very frightening and often painful. Prompt treatment is generally required to alleviate pain and ensure the patient's oral and overall health. If you're dealing with a dental emergency, call us immediately at 419-756-4667 and we will schedule you in as soon as possible. Should you call during after hours, call our regular number and our voicemail will inform you of how to get in touch with us.

Dentures:
Complete dentures are used to replace a persons teeth when they are all missing. Removable dentures are designed to restore the health, function, and beauty of your smile. They are crafted to fit your individual mouth comfortably and snugly. When in place, dentures can:

-Help restore your ability to eat and speak
-Replace your missing teeth
-Prevent facial sagging
-Improve the appearance of your smile

Partial Dentures:
Partials are removable appliances custom designed to replace missing teeth. They use the existing teeth and gums for retention and support. They can be made using metal frames and acrylic teeth and gums, or be made all out of acrylic. They require 2-5 appointments to complete depending on the specific situation.

Immediate Dentures:
If you are a patient with loose teeth that your dentist can no longer save, immediate dentures may be the solution you have been looking for. Dr. Basinger will remove your unsavable teeth and replace them with dentures in one visit – meaning your dentures are immediate.
