About

Miranda R. Taylor, L.Ac., NRTP, EAMP, MTCM

Miranda R. Taylor, EAMP, licensed Acupuncturist since 2003 earned a 4 year degree in East Asian Medicine after numerous internships. Chengdu Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Harborview Hospital, North-End Rehabilitation Facility, Cedar Grove Rehabilitation Facility, and NW Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental (Chinese) Medicine Clinic provided her internship opportunities. Located at 5637 30th Ave SW, Seattle, WA 98126, 206-932-4371.
Miranda takes the time to carefully find the underlying causes of problems, and takes care to address these issues with acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and nutrition. Acupuncture is instantly helpful for most issues, and Miranda explains how and why. When symptoms are severe or chronic, Miranda has many tools besides acupuncture for fast healing. The first is Nutrition Response Testing℠, a pharmacy of Standard Process nutritional supplements and plant-based medicinal herbs from around the world. She may prescribe Chinese, Native American, and European herbs with food, but she starts with food supplements and minor adjustments to diet. Along with acupuncture Miranda uses moxibustion: infrared light and heat warming the points with mugwort in the form of cigars (indirect), direct needle warming. She also safely warms broad areas with a warm box holding mugwort on a screen over the body. A physical piece to her medicine is massage, (suction) cupping and spooning. Cupping feels like a reverse massage where you are pulled instead of pressed. Spooning began in China with ceramic spoons and is a valuable part of Acupuncture/East Asian Medicine training. Spooning breaks up lumpy muscle tissue and is currently used in physical therapy offices in the Seattle area.
Miranda Taylor cares about people, understands emotions and healing, and she will work with people wherever they are in their healing process. People can expect instant relief from physical pain, sinus congestion, immobile joints, herniated discs, addictions, PMS, emotional pain, congested lungs or intestines, complaining gall bladder or urinary bladder. All the side effects are positive. You will sleep better. You will digest better. You will breathe better. You will think better! You can meet Miranda R. Taylor, EAMP, L.Ac. at 5637 30th Ave SW, Seattle, WA 98126 for a free 15-minute consultation to help you determine if she is right for you. Just call 206-932-4371 for an appointment

Services Acupuncture (a system of complementary medicine that involves pricking the skin or tissues with needles, used to alleviate pain and to treat various physical, mental, and emotional conditions. Originating in ancient China, acupuncture is now widely practiced in the West)

Moxibustion (warming acupuncture channels, regions and meridian points with the intention of stimulating circulation through the points and improving the blood flow or circulation. Moxibustion treats conditions associated with the "cold" or "yang deficiencies" in Chinese Medicine. It mitigates against cold and dampness in the body, and can serve to turn breech babies. Moxibustion to be especially effective in the treatment of chronic problems and "deficient conditions" (weakness).

Cupping (Suction cups, stationary or moving over the skin)

Herbal Medicine Consultations. Food and Herbal medicine used to be the only pharmacy on our planet. Now laboratories produce drugs that, never having been seen by the human body before, create negative effects that in English language are erroneously called "side" effects. The systems Miranda uses were designed by Mother Nature to help the body heal completely.

Nutrition Response Testing (also known as Functional Medicine, Designed Clinical Nutrition, or Applied Kinesiology) is a very precise, specific and non-invasive method of testing, analyzing, and correcting nutritional deficiencies and imbalances in the body.

Since I started seeing Miranda Taylor at High Point Health, I no longer take pain medications and I’m back working 8 hours.
My husband and daughter sees her too. I highly recommend and very thankful for her.

My first visit to Miranda was at the recommendation of enthusiastic friends. I was suffering the first week of a Shingles outbreak. In serious pain with Shingles sores beginning to emerge, I looked for more relief than western medicine could provide with anit-viral medication, which I was already taking. Miranda immediately relieved my pain within 30 minutes using only acupuncture. To help my body process everything it was going through (the virus plus the western medicine prescribed), Miranda sent me home with herbal teas to calm my body and help me eliminate the toxins and heal faster. After healing, I was very interested in never getting Shingles of the Eye (or anywhere!) again. Miranda used Nutrition Response Testing to restore and fortify my immune system and to protect me from getting Shingles again. So far it's been 3 years Shingles free!
