I went to Marti at this salon a half dozen times, but she became increasingly rude, accusative, and argumentative, and it was difficult to get a word in edgewise. Once, I walked into the shop, and she was gossiping about me when I entered with the lady at the front desk and another hairdresser. I asked her to please only talk about work and be professional when she did my hair afterward, and she had a tantrum and refused to do my hair. Apparently, someone at the front desk or another hairdresser suggested she finish the color since she had already mixed it and it would have been wasted. When she washed the color out, she left soap in my hair but said she couldn't rinse it out when I asked her to. She said she didn't have time to cut or blow dry my hair, as scheduled, because it was snowing, and she wanted to get home. Then, she handed me a hairdryer but no brush or product to dry my own hair, so I wouldn't be cold in the snow, and left the salon for the day before I was finished drying my own hair. She had said she would meet me the following morning for a second appointment to cut my hair and straighten it. I asked the lady at the front desk if there were any other hairdressers I might be able to see in the future in order to avoid the drama, and apparently, the lady who works at the front desk called Marti at home and told her I wanted to schedule a future appointment with another hairdresser because Marti called me at home that night and said she'd heard I wanted to use another hairdresser in the future, so she was cancelling the appointment for the following day to finish the work she had refused to complete during the initial appointment and then hung up on me. She told me I should find someone else the following day to finish her work of cutting and straightening my hair. She constantly complains about the salon and the owner of the salon. I don't know whether the other hairdressers are more professional, but beware of Marti!

I love Marti. I was referred to her by a friend a couple of years ago and will not go to anyone else. She is a super stylist and knows what she is doing. She is always going to classes to update her knowledge in cutting, coloring and anything else dealing with hair. She listens to her clients and gives her expert opinion.
