When I asked front desk staff whether we should bill this visit as medical or vision, and asked which one would give more complete coverage, she assured me it wouldn't make any difference. It turned out it DID make a difference, to the tune of hundreds of dollars. When I asked to change to a different category, she said it was too late and implied it was my fault and I should have known which one to choose.
