Dr. Henbest is one of the most talented neurosurgeons in the world, in my opinion. He spent some time working with Dr. Golden of Eugene OR, who made medical history when he removed a large spinal tumor for me in 1992, so I asked Dr. Golden if he knew any surgeons in Idaho he would recommend, & he referred me to Dr. Henbest. I was not disappointed, in fact, I consider myself to be incredibly blessed, because I have Neurofibromatosis 2 & grow brain tumors, spinal tumors & nerve tumors. The hundreds or possibly thousands of other people worldwide who have NF2 & use the internet, have been shocked to learn that Dr. Henbest was able to remove my LARGE acoustic neuroma, and he was able to leave enough of the incredibly fragile nerves (like wet toilet paper), that even though my brain swelling caused my face to become paralyzed on the left side, & I lost my sense of taste & smell for a few months, but he had me take steroids to shrink the brain swelling, & after a few months, I got my smell & taste back, & my face wasn't paralyzed anymore! No one else I know has had this kind of miracle with their brain surgery outcomes, so I know to really credit Dr. Henbest for his incredible ability, his concern & assistance in helping me live longer & so very much better than I otherwise could. If you need the world's best neurosurgeon, Dr. Michael Henbest is the one!
