DR. FRANK B. McCUTCHEON, Jr. – After completing both medical school and his residency in general surgery at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Arkansas, Dr. McCutcheon went on to complete a residency in plastic surgery at one of the finest plastic surgery training programs in the country: Bowman-Gray School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Dr. McCutcheon then returned to Arkansas and entered private practice in 1985 after completing an additional six month Fellowship in hand surgery, also at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Dr. McCutcheon’s goal upon entering private practice was - and remains - to provide his patients with the highest level of plastic surgical care. After practicing in his home state of Arkansas for 14 years, he accepted an opportunity to return to North Carolina and open his new practice, Cosmetic Surgery of Asheville, in 1999. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, the only certifying body devoted exclusively to plastic surgery that is recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and has been a member of numerous other respected local, regional and national professional societies and organizations.
