I would like to say, I rarely leave reviews, but as a caring person, I feel others should know about this physician.

My family doctor made this appointment for me in the fall of 2011. Dr. Joseph was sent my records in November of 2011 by my family doctor, for which I confirmed yesterday with my family doctor.

His office finally got me in by May of 2012, and when I went, I also took with me a CD that had my brain MRI and also a copy of the report on the CD for which it would have taken only a minute for his staff to print out.

I also heard his staff say, I can print this off real quick and I heard him say I don't have time for that.

He came in and sat down and asked me a few questions. I explained to him all my neurological symptoms and also told him that I also had other problems with uncontrolled thyroid for almost 3 years so he could have a clear picture of my medical problems at present. He looked up at me and said, I'm confused, why did they send you here. I said because of my neurological symptoms (for which I had already told him) and the fact that my brain scan said that I had possible MS or Demyelinating disease.

After telling him all my symptoms, he said this MRI is 2 years old. (Date was on the cover of the CD). I fully expected him to order updated testing and to render his own opinion, however his office had misplaced the records that my family doctor had sent back in November and he was so rude and said I can't examine you without the records. I asked him to run off the report that was on the CD and he said he did not have time for that.

So now it is May and I've waited since last fall for him to refuse to evaluate me. He was rude, and rushing because they overbook, it's all about the money and I'm so glad that the firm I work for does not operate that way.

I work for a Law firm and can tell you that reviewing the files completely takes time and is the only way someone can do their job well and in a professional manner.

A true professional with integrity takes the time, no matter what the cost, because the clients best interest is what is top priority, not the money. When we finish up on a client, you can guarantee that we had the time to review the files or be kind to the client and get the files needed. It is called ethics, integrity and caring for others. It would have taken Dr. Joseph about 5 minutes to wait on another fax from my family physicians office however, his time is more important than my time obviously or my health. This man is all about the money and I would not take my dog to this rude man, as I want someone who has the time to listen to me and order any updated test needed to evaluate me at present and a physician who feels as if he has the time to review everything needed to be completely thorough.

He walked out the door on me as I was trying to tell him that my test say I have MS or Demyelinating disease.

His staff acted embarrassed and as I went to the check out window, the once friendly lady I feel was so embarrassed and did not know whet to say to me she just got up and left when I told her not to bother making an appointment for me that I would not be back. So then I'm thinking well the doctor walks out and now she just gets up to avoid saying something, I'm guessing, to keep from stating her opinion, but it came off as being rude as well. Needless to say, I have already had others to say to me, you went to see Dr. Joseph, everyone knows how he is, so now I making an appointment with a doctor who they say takes their time with you in Charleston, WV. Save yourself some time and gas money, skip this doctor. I drove an hour for such incompetence.

Dr. Joseph did not spend the time to understand my wife's condition and sent her home even though the symptoms were getting worse. We left Dr. Joseph's care and immediately went to WVU Hospital and they diagnosed by wife with guillains barre syndrome.

After learning about the disease and the cause and symptoms, a simple internet search would have diagnosed my wife and gave us two more days of treatment before the disease got worse.
