Qi Gong - Therapy for Therapists

I have been fortunate enough to hear about the wonderful art of Wuji Qi Gong, which is the healing form of Qi Gong, originating in China in the Emei Mountains. I have heard there are many, many types of Qi Gong, but this type is specifically designed to open the meridians in one's body to maximize our natural healing capabilities.
Since I started taking the classes a few months ago, I feel my energy has increased, my instincts have become sharper, more refined, and I have less aches and pains after a full day of massage.
I really enjoy the art, and I am going to take the level one training seminar in about a month, I'm excited!
I find that most martial arts have a lot of focus on balance, which is one thing that I've been very aware of lately and have been trying to manifest more of in my life. But Qi Gong has definitely made this easier. Also, I tend to get very sleepy after the class and I usually am up pretty late just because I don't feel the desire to go to sleep yet.
If you get a chance, try a Qi Gong class... it's a very unique experience, and if you're looking for balance, this might just be the thing to incorporate into your daily routine after taking a few classes.
To our health!

I am a Licensed Massage Therapist in Gainesville, Fl. I have worked in spas and a physical therapy clinic and now I have my own private practice, blending relaxation therapy with therapeutic massage techniques. I find that relaxation is key, and in the parasympathetic state is where healing takes place.
