Gratitude Journal Anyone?

Life's been throwing me a few curve balls recently and I've been thinking seriously about making priority shifts. It dawned on me that now would be a great time to also begin a gratitude journal. I've spoken to my own clients before about the benefits of a gratitude journal - particularly when things seem bleak or they have a "glass half empty" attitude which is so easy for any of us to slip into! However, I've never done one myself and it's time to put my actions behind my words. I'll be keeping it next to my bed because I know myself well enough to know that if I don't - I won't touch it.

I'm wondering about any other people's experiences with gratitude journals and how they've been helpful? Thoughts anyone?

They are a great tool. I have done them before. Not recently, too, but I too have been going through a very challenging period. They definitely get yo uinto the habit of focusing on what you do have, and not on what you don't have! I also started journaling, my older daughter (27 years old) suggested it. I am also considering in the near future doing some hypnosis work. I have gone through a very frustrating period recently, and it's easy to slip into that funk. I recently downloaded some PDF files that focus on the way we think, and needless to say that is a huge influence on how we see our lives! So hope so of these help.
