Application of Magnetic Separators in Spices Industries

Cooking with spices is not only a widespread practise, but also a necessity for most foodies. But how are spices manufactured and processed?

Spices are widely farmed in the world's equatorial regions, with some flourishing in the chilly, misty mountains. Many of the seed spices, such as coriander seeds, are grown in more temperate climates. Because of the location, how the spices are obtained, and how they are processed and converted into powders, there is a high risk of metal contamination. Most spice plants employ a variety of machinery, including Magnetic Separators, Destoners, and other machines, to separate and detect any harmful metal.

Different magnet components have different qualities; therefore picking the right one is crucial.

  • Magnetic Destoner

Magnetic destoners are most commonly used to remove contaminants from product lines. Materials with natural magnetic qualities, such as stone, metals, glass bits, mud balls, black stones, rat faeces, and other contaminants, are entirely separated using a mixture of magnetized and gravity separation (customizable option). These Magnetic Destoners are effective, high-intensity, high-gradient, and long-lasting equipment that may be used to separate spices, coffee, beans, rice, and other materials.

Gravity, air pushed, or conveyor belts are used to feed the raw material or final product via or over a magnetic rod, grid, grate, or magnetic plate. The ferrous contamination is attracted to the magnet tubes or magnetic plate by the magnetic field. The procedure goes with the non-magnetic clean product. This method removes impurities from spices such as red chilies, tikka masala, ginger, turmeric, garlic, coriander seasoning, black pepper, cumin, and a variety of other spices that can be destoned with our high-quality magnetic Destoner.

  • Hump Magnet

When the material flow is vertical, magnetic humps are used. Hump magnets are utilized to remove metal from spices, granules, powder, food, and other materials. Hump Magnets are vertical columns that are made up of two Plate Magnets connected by an offset casing. When spice material reaches the first magnet, it changes the direction and passes over the secondary magnet, resulting in clean outflow material.

  • Drawer Magnet

This sort of ferrous metal extraction unit can be easily installed in an existing pipeline or the outlet of different equipment such as pulverizers, blenders, and classifiers, as well as any other output position. Each unit of the conventional kind is made up of 2 permanent magnetic grids that are stacked one on top of the other. This works because particles such as magnets, mudballs, and other contaminants are separated, allowing spices to be consumed safely..

  • Magnetic Grill

The magnetic grill uses a high-intensity magnetic field constructed of stainless steel to remove metallic particles from spice and powders. Square, rectangle, and circle are the most common shapes.

There are far too many multiple kinds of magnetic separators, however selecting and purchasing the wrong one leads in inefficient separation. For evaluating and purchasing the proper magnetic separator for your individual process, factors such as viscosity, kind of metal pollution, density, moisture, pressure, and temperature are essential.
