My aging mother ordered a chair from this store and was promised delivery on the following Friday (about one week). While awaiting to receive the chair, she called "Brian" on three occasions in order to understand what her portion of the bill was to be. He spoke to her only once--the other two times he did not return a promised call. I spoke to him on the Saturday afterward. At first I was told he was unavailable and that he would return the call. When I asked when that would be, I was told there was no way of knowing. The clerk who answered the phone was trying to be helpful but could not seem to connect with anyone who would have knowledge of the order status. While discussing this, Brian became available and took my call. Although he was not rude, he demonstrated a completely uncaring lackluster interest in trying to help a customer. He claimed to have received a message yesterday afternoon but could not explain why he did not return the call upon receipt of that message. He also claimed to have no knowledge of which salesman sold the chair, nor did he have any way of determining the status of the order. One gets the sense that the customer will be either ignored or told a "story" while the store gets around to dealing with the task of ordering the chair. I canceled the order and Brian seemed quite happy to see that happen. How does this place stay in business?
