Dr Cober was great to work with. He did a post mastectomy reconstruction and then a tummy tuck. He is attentive, never in a hurry, always had time for my questions and concerns and his work is excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend him.

Eleven years ago, I had a lumpectomy. At the time, most insurances didn't pay re-construction for lumpectomy, only mast. Meanwhile, I hated the way I looked and was always self-conscious. Dr. Cober ended all that anxiety for me after he performed a breast re-construction last March 2016. He was kind, professional, and very well informed right from the beginning. He was attentive for follow-up appointments. Finally, when I was able to see the result of the surgery, I was so happy. Happier than I had been in a long time. Dr. Cober is a magician and I would highly recommend him.

I was diagnosed at the age of 35 with stage 3 triple-positive breast cancer. I underwent a bilateral mastectomy, 28 rounds of chemotherapy, radiation, and a complete hysterectomy to follow.
At the time of my diagnosis in 2006, I was reconstructed with silicone implants. Over time my body began forming scar tissue around the implant until it became so painful and tight that I had to have another surgery. My choices were either get new implants and wait for history to repeat itself with more future surgeries, or a DIEP reconstruction using my own skin and tissue to reconstruct my breasts.
After a year of several meetings and discussions with Dr. Cober as he patiently answered all of my questions, accompanied with hand drawn diagrams  yep after a year I finally had enough courage to do the DIEP reconstruction. This meant I would eliminate any future surgeries regarding implant issues. At the time of my diagnosis my only option was implants, so having another option now was a blessing.
I’m here to let you know that if you’re exploring this DIEP reconstruction, look no further Dr. Cober is the absolute best! He listens and hears what you’re saying, he gives you as much time as you need to comfortably make your decision. He understands the mental process involved. But most importantly he’s experienced and with his knowledge, he continues to make his next procedure even better than the last.
Since my cancer diagnosis, this is the closest I’ve felt to normal in a very long time! I can finally work out my upper body, chest and arms with no pain, haven’t been able to do that for 10 years. I have no more chest pain from my chest muscle being stretched over an implant. I have the warmth back in my breasts since there is now blood flow there again. And I’ve finally been able to complete my second stage reconstruction after ten years with 3-d nipple tattooing by the amazing Mary Jane Haake.
My complete reconstruction is absolutely amazing and I can’t thank Dr. Cober enough. I feel complete again and it has changed my life in more ways than one. I’m blessed to be alive and happy to share my experience with you and I hope it helps you with your decision.

Six years ago I had a breast augmentation procedure in GA. Over time, the implants went wrong. Dr. Cober provided a thorough analysis and proposal in a comforting atmosphere. The procedure involved removal of the existing implants and insertion of two new implants. Dr. Cober suggested and used a different textured implant set that would discourage movement of the implants. The entire process from the first visit, through the surgery, to the final visit was perfect. Everything went great!

When I was diagnosed with breast cancer and was processing the words “double mastectomy” and “reconstruction,” I felt completely scared and overwhelmed. My general breast surgeon recommended plastic surgeon Dr. Sheldon Cober, saying, “He is the best in town.” I had a double mastectomy with reconstruction. I am nearing the end of this process and, because of my positive experience, I feel inspired to write a review for Dr Cober and his staff.
I am a registered nurse and know that I have analyzed and evaluated my experience through the lens of a healthcare professional, and I am very pleased with my breast reconstruction results. Dr. Cober is clearly highly skilled in the art of breast reconstruction.
Along with his exceptional surgical skills, my experience with Dr. Cober has also been that it’s easy to talk with him and, more importantly, he listens intently to what my hopes are for my reconstruction and he clearly focuses to meet those expectations.
Dr. Cober’s staff is warm, friendly and kind. I always feel welcomed when I arrive at my appointments.
I can honestly declare that Dr. Cober’s exceptional skill in reconstructing my breasts has led me to a real sense of feeling whole again. As his patient, and as a nurse, I very highly recommend Dr. Cober as a plastic surgeon. He has proven to me that he is, indeed, “the best in town.”

I saw Dr. Cober after I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I had the bilateral mastectomy, temporary expanders then the DIEP (free flap) reconstructive procedure. His professionalism and exceptional skills was what made me choose him. He was very kind, compassionate, confident, generous with his time and very patient. He gave me all the information I needed and answered all the questions I had. I am very happy with my reconstruction and am truly grateful for my exceptional transformation. I now have beautiful looking breasts. I would highly recommend him to any member of my family and friends. And every time I went for my follow up, I always felt a positive confirmation that I made the right choice for a surgeon. I also appreciate every single one of his staff (Connie, Laurie, Veronica and Stacy) for the welcoming atmosphere and caring attitude.

I had a Coronal Browlift and Upper Blepharoplasty. My experience with Dr Cober, his staff, my follow up appts and the entire surgery were just great. Other than the recovery time i did not miss much work or suffer any complications which made my healing process minimal. My results were amazing and so natural that i cannot say enough about the skill and professionalism of Dr. Cober.

I highly recommend Dr. Cober as a surgeon. I initially went to him to have some fibrosed hematoma’s removed from my abdomen, which were caused by injectable blood thinners. I ended up having a full tummy tuck. Over 20 years ago, I went full term with a set of twins, (we’re talking 15 ½ pounds of baby). So, you can imagine what my abdomen looked like. Dr. Cober spent time with me explaining all the details of the surgery and what I could expect afterwards. He’s a very caring man. I never felt rushed, with any of my appointments. The surgery was done on an outpatient basis. Dr. Cober called daily, for the first few days, to ensure that all was well and that the pain was controlled.

Overall, I am very happy with the results of the surgery. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back to him again, if I have the need.
