In my opinion, Dr. Cabot leaves much to be desired when it comes to having developed a bedside manner. This is why I gave him a "poor" rating for accessibility as I am interpreting the question as to how available was he as a person.

My experience was with him being abrupt and dismissive, i. e., I inquired as to why I feel a certain sensation in my toes, necessitating an MRI. His curt reply, "There's no medical explanation for it."

Dr. Cabot seemed to me to be in such a state, that when he left the room I asked his assistant if he always behaved in that manner.

The report he wrote pertaining to my injury is filled with inaccuracies. He refuses to correct his errors stating that I was present when he was dictating. He will add an addendum.

Yes, I was present but somewhat annoyed with him dictating and thus, not paying attention to what he was saying as I was so discomfited after just having shots of cortisone injected in my knee and ankle PLUS I was concerned with getting my physical therapist, who referred and accompanied me to the appointment on April 9 @ 8 AM, back to work on time.

Also, he never told me that I might experience severe pain with the ankle injection. For the next 48 hours I was in such pain that I was ready to cut my ankle off.

Yes, he did offer me pain medication BUT that was prior to any injection and attributable to my conveying that I was in constant pain to the point it frequently awakened me in the night.

As a matter of fact, as soon as we left his office, I told the physical therapist that I did not like his behavior, was surprised to be referred to him, and would never return.

From my perspective, his arrogance knows no boundaries and his written report skills to be inept.

In what masqueraded as a conversation yesterday, 05/24/10, he informed me to seek treatment elsewhere.

Number 1: What he failed to grasp, is that if he cannot write a report correctly, how could I trust him to treat me?

Number 2: He has no clue that I discovered a much better treatment, e.g., cold laser therapy, which mightily aided the injury to the point I am far ahead on the path of recovery.

There's more and this bit of information should suffice.
